Savior’s Song.

To all the children,
Trying to understand,
Just why their Daddy’s left them,
Still a boy but already a man.

To the woman,
Taking “one last drink”
Trying to wash away her wrongs,

To anyone who’s felt the sting of pain:
Hear your Savior’s song.

Oh, don’t I know what it feels like to be lonely?
Don’t I know, what it feels like to be scared?
I went through it all,
Wept the tears of the broken hearted.
I did it all for you.

To the father,
Trying to forget,
The guilt he’s felt ever since that day,
Since the day he left.

To the Mother,
Forced to say goodbye,
To a child she’s loved for so long.

To anyone who’s felt the sting of pain:
Hear your Savior’s song.

Oh, don’t I know what it feels like to be lonely?
Don’t I know, what it feels like to be scared?
I went through it all,
Wept the tears of the broken hearted.
I did it all for you.

I didn’t have to know what it felt like to be lonely,
But now I know, what it feels like to be scared.
I went through it all,
Wept the tears of the broken hearted.
…I did it all for you.
